CIVIL-WAR PERIOD ENFIELD PATTERN 1853 TOWER 1863 PERCUSSION MUSKET, .577 caliber, barrel with Birmingham proofs at rear and standard long range sight, lock with royal crown at rear and "1863/TOWER" at center, walnut stock with brass cap, three iron barrel bands, brass buttplate and trigger guard. Stock stamped with BSAT cartouche, "PRYSE & REDMAN", "F&R", "J.CLARE", anchor, etc. Correct steel tulip-end ramrod. Possibly Confederate used. 1863. 55 1/4" LOA, 39" barrel.

Very good as-found original condition, stock with original surface, barrel with very light pitting forward of hammer.
