CIVIL WAR REMINGTON 1861 NAVY PERCUSSION REVOLVER, .36 caliber, 6-shot cylinder, octagonal barrel marked to top "PATENTED DEC. 17 1861 / MANUFACTURED BY REMINGTONS' ILION. N. Y.", cone front sight, Martially marked with "J" on left side of barrel and frame forward of cylinder, and "C" on left side of frame below trigger, walnut two-part grips without cartouche. Serial #S16840 to underside of barrel. Circa 1862. 13 1/2" LOA, 7 3/8" barrel.

Condition

Very good to fine condition, metals smooth with even color, no dings or marring, grips with excellent color, one with 1 1/4" light crack from bottom edge, other with minor spot of roughness to bottom edge.
