CIVIL WAR SOLDIER ASSOCIATED POCKET HYMN BOOKS / TRACTS, LOT OF FOUR, comprising (1) The Soldier's Hymn Book, New York YMCA, 1861, and (2) an American Tract Society publication, both with the inked inscription, "Picked up on the Campground of the 104th Regt. Pa. Vol. near Beaufort in the State of South Carolina on the 17th day of July A.D. 1863 by P. W. Flores, Second Lieut. Com. K, 176 Reg. Pa. M."; (3) an American Tract Society publication with inked inscription "This Tract was presented in the United States General Hospital No. 2 in Beaufort, on Port Royal Island in the State of South Carolina, on the 20th of June A. D. 1863 by a Chaplain of the U.S.C.C. (United States Christian Commission stationed at Beaufort S.C.) to Philip W. Flores, 2d Lieutenant of Co. K, 176th Regt. P.M. and the time a patient in the Hospital No. 2 as aforesaid"; and (4) The Patriot's Hymn Book, New York, 1863, with penciled ownership inscription "Lewis Seiss???, Co. K, 54th Regt., 2nd Brigade Independent Div. 24th Army Corps." Each with original boards/wraps. 4 1/2" x 2 7/8" OA.

Condition

Three in excellent condition, (4) shows usage including soiling and wear.
