CIVIL WAR UNION MODEL 1850 OFFICER'S SWORD, brass guard is pierced with floral scrolls, fishskin grip with single strand of braided copper wire, straight spear-point blade decorated with scrolls, spread-wing eagle, and "U.S.", left side of ricasso marked with "W / CLAUBERG / (Logo) / SOLINGEN", right side marked "SCHUYLER HARTLEY / & GRAHAM / NEW YORK", steel single-ring scabbard. Circa 1864. 38 1/2" LOA, 31" blade.
