CIVIL WAR UNMARKED US MODEL 1860 CAVALRY OFFICER'S SABER WITH OWNER'S NAME, curved blade with unstopped fuller that runs open to within 3/4″ of the guard and 9 1/4″ of the tip, brass hilt with three-branch guard, and grooved wood grip, stamped "S. TRUSSLER. CO. F" to guard beside pommel. No scabbard. Circa 1860. 41" LOA, 35" blade.

Condition

Good as-found condition, some areas of pitting to blade, heaviest near the tip, grip lacking covering and wire, and with a crack on one side.
