CONTINENTAL BLACKAMOOR TERRACOTTA LARGE PAIR OF FIGURES,
each standing barefoot on a molded ovoid base with stump to back, having polychrome hand-painted decorations, and wearing tropical dress, comprising a young woman carrying a water jug on left shoulder and a young man carrying dead game in left hand and a basket of fruit in right hand. Impressed "4879 / 11" and "2 / 1879" to underside.
Possibly Austria.
Late 19th/early 20th century.
29 1/4" HOA.
Very good visual condition, each having some professional restoration and paint touch-ups with some scattered losses to enamel decorations.
