CONTINENTAL FREE-BLOWN TRANSLUCENT GLASS TRUMPET VASE, alabaster/clambroth and translucent starch blue, tall trumpet form with an applied starch blue snake coiling upward, compressed spherical extension raised on a spool-form short stand with coiling snake and circular foot, gauffered rim with applied light blue rim, factory-polished to the underside to level. Maker unverified. Fourth quarter 19th century. 14 1/4" H, 5" DOA top rim, 5 1/8" D foot.
Condition
Undamaged. Two potstone to the top of the foot with one causing a small bruise-like imperfection, all as made.
