CONTINENTAL GLUE-CHIPPED GLASS AND METAL KEROSENE PEG LAMP, shaded cranberry, Panel-Optic font with a glue-chipped surface, raised on a cast-brass standard with a red stone stem, period brass collar. Fitted with a period Argand-style slip burner. Topped with a shaded cranberry etched floral shade. Together by association and ill-fitting cast-brass Vintage patterned prism ring with snowflake patterned colorless prisms. Maker unverified. Fourth quarter 19th century. 17 1/4" H to top of shade, 12 1/4" H to top of collar, 3 3/4" SQ base.
Nearly undamaged with the upper brass connector having some minor denting; shade having some light roughness to the fitter. Prisms with expected minor flakes/roughness.
