CONTINENTAL OR OTHER STERLING SILVER CANDLESTICK PAIR, each disassembles into three parts, having repousse and chased floral and foliate designs, featuring a single capital above original foliate bobeche, reeded stem, and a round base with knop top. Unmarked, tested as sterling silver fineness. Total weight: 29.69 ozt. 19th century. 14 1/4" HOA.
Provenance: From a New England collection.
Very good visual condition with some wear and surface scratches, a few to some repairs including one on bobeche and other to rim of capital, other imperfections including denting, slight bending, nicks, and worn spots to raised decoration.
