CONTINENTAL PORCELAIN FIGURAL BANQUET LAMP, featuring a long-haired dandy figure wearing hand-painted pink floral jacket, pants, bowed shoes, and a bicorn hat, having a globular form font with applied flowers, No. 3 fine-line collar, and electrified burner. Non-period cut and frosted ball form shade with swag design. Together with a German porcelain figural hydrangea form vase having polychrome hand-painted flowers to interior, and supported by two putti holding the stem, having C.G. Schierholz & Sons blue-crossed lines mark to underside. Vase - C.G. Schierholz & Sons, Plaue, Thuringia, Germany; and other. Fourth quarter 19th/early 20th century. 29" HOA.

Condition

Vase having moderate losses including one putto leg, most of one leaf, and remaining putto with moderate chip to top of foot; lamp font having some losses to applied flowers, areas of restoration including to figure and applied flowers, and associated alterations for electrification including drilled holes. Burner lacking components from electrification. Current working condition (See Catalogue Guarantee).
