CONTINENTAL PORCELAIN HAND-PAINTED FIGURAL CANDLESTICKS, LOT OF SIX, each having applied polychrome floral decorations, comprising three double bobeche examples including a four-footed pair each featuring an expressive cherub to front, and one example depicting a woman standing on an oval base wearing a hat, and three single bobeche examples including two four footed examples, one featuring a pair of cupids with bird at their feet, and one tri-footed example depicting a young man with raised right arm. Marks to underside include underglaze blue three lines, a crown with "S" below, and one having red anchor to lower back. Together with a French white porcelain inkwell having metal top with "ENCRIER / T. H. / PARIS / PORTATIF". Seven pieces total. Sitzendorfer Porzellanmanufaktur, Thuringia, Germany; and others. Late 19th/early 20th century. 13 5/8" HOA.

Each having possible minor losses or flakes to flower petals; young man example having chip to bobeche; woman with double bobeches having faint hairline to base back; inkwell having soldered repair to top; one cupid double example having broken and glued arm and a loss to end of covering; double cupid single bobeche example having moderate loss to flower arch and cupid's covering.
