CONTINENTAL PORCELAIN OCCUPATIONAL SHAVING MUGS, LOT OF FOUR, each having polychrome hand-painted images with a gilt-printed name, comprising one example depicting a butcher cleaving meat on a footed block, one example featuring a locomotive with a smoking stack, one example having various Odd Fellows society symbols, and one with floral motif. Marks to underside include green-printed "V & D / AUSTRIA" and "D & Co / FRANCE". R. Delinieres and Cie, Limoges, France; and others. Late 19th/early 20th Century. 3 7/8" HOA.

Condition

Floral example undamaged, except each having some wear to enamel decorations; locomotive example having faint rim hairline, a chip and a flake to foot; Odd Fellows example having restoration to rim chip with associated rim hairline; butcher example having poor restoration to complete handle.
