EARLY INKWELLS, LOT OF THREE, two spool-form and one round, comprising an unmarked pewter example with likely original free-blown colorless glass insert, an engine-turned black basalt style example, and a turned wood example with great early surface and open pontiled aqua glass bottle insert held in place by a wood plug. Together with a square free-blown or dip-molded colorless glass inkwell. Four pieces total. American or English. Late 18th/first half 19th century. 2" HOA, 3 1/8" D base pewter example.
Excellent condition overall except pewter inkwell heavily dented and worn; free-blown square bottle with a short crack to heel.
