EIJIRO KOBAYASHI (JAPANESE, 1870-1946) WOODBLOCK PRINT, "A High Bridge by Night" (Whistler influence) from the "Night Scenes" series, depicting a dark scene featuring a tall bridge with figures walking over it, a single figure underneath with buildings and lights in the background, print without stamps in sight, unable to view margins, possibly early edition or a later edition. Housed under glass in a painted molded frame. 20th century. 5 1/8" x 7 1/2" sight, 9 3/4" x 13 1/2" OA.
Excellent visual condition with light toning, frame with some wear, flakes, and chips. Not examined out of frame.
