ELGIN AND OTHER 7-, 15-, AND 19-JEWEL POCKET WATCHES, LOT OF SEVEN, comprising a Burlington Watch Co. private label Illinois 19-jewel model 4 pocket watch, serial number 2030293, in a hunter case with engraved decoration including for Knights of Columbus with a watch chain; an Elgin 15-jewel B.W. Raymond model 2 example, serial number 1786469, with an open-face case and a watch chain having attached pocket knife with Masonic emblem; an Elgin 15-jewel model 5 example, serial number 16152796, in a sterling silver open-face case; a Langendorf Swiss 15-jewel example; a Waltham 7- or 15-jewel (mixed run) model 1890 example, serial number 8692033, with a hunter case; an Elgin 15-jewel model 2 example, serial number 6223170, with a hunter case and a black braided watch chain; and an Elgin 7-jewel model 4 example, serial number 2849229, with open-face case and a watch chain having two fobs consisting of a locket and a cigar cutter. Each movement with marks, cases marked, one marked "STERLING". Late 19th/early 20th century. Sizes 6s, approx. 10s, 16s, and 18s.
Fair to very good overall condition; cases, chains, and fobs with minor to moderate wear, surface scratches, and other imperfections including nicks, slight bending, one or a few dents, losses to gold, worn spots to engraving, etc.; some enamel dials with one or a few hairlines; Waltham and Swiss watches lacking crystals; Elgin B.W. Raymond with a chip to edge of crystal; Waltham also with lacking seconds hand and front cover is broken off of hinge; black braided watch chain with an area of wear and tears. Four currently running and not timed for accuracy, Swiss example running intermittently but stopping often, Elgin 7-jewel and Waltham examples not currently running (see Catalogue Guarantee).

Effective March 1, 2024 In-house shipping is no longer available with Jeffrey S. Evans & Associates (JSEA). Shipping of all lots is through one of two local UPS stores with whom we have successfully worked with in the past. Buyers will receive a shipping form to fill out and return to the UPS store. As a courtesy to our clientele, once the invoice is paid, JSEA will arrange transport and make delivery to each respective store at no extra charge. Once the items ship, buyers will receive a paid shipping invoice and tracking number.

Once a third party shipper has been determined, please email info@jeffreysevans.com with your preferences to ensure all paperwork is in order.
Any paid invoice with outstanding fees will be subject to the storage fees listed below. The grace period begins once the buyer is notified of shipping charges.
Due to excessive fraud, purchases can only be shipped to the billing address on the credit card used for payment. If you wish to have your purchases shipped to an alternate address, you must contact the front office to review and possibly approve the change.
