EMBOSSED CASE DAGUERREOTYPES, LOT OF 15, comprising seven thermoplastic examples including one quarter plate example with geometric decoration, three sixth plate examples including one with Angel Holding Cornucopia design having man and wife daguerreotypes to interior and one featuring Lady with Falcon 1 to cover and geometric decoration on back, and three ninth plate examples including one Pears and Grapes example and one Flowers, Leaves, and Cones example, and eight leather examples comprising three ninth plate examples and five sixth plate examples including one with Eagle in a Circle motif and one having bird and flower basket design, two lacking covers. Second/third quarter 19th century. 2 7/8" x 2 3/8" to 4 7/8" x 4".

Flowers, Leaves, and Cones example undamaged, each leather example having some expected wear, some moderate; most thermoplastic examples having minor imperfections except one quarter plate example having moderate scattered chips to edges and detached velvet interior; thermoplastic sixth plate Lady with Falcon example lacking velvet inset; three leather examples having front and back covers detached but present; most images in very good to excellent condition.
