ENGLISH CAST-IRON GATE SIGN, reads "Notice / By 8 Vic. Cap. 20. S. 75. any person not / fastening this gate after having / passed through is liable to a penalty / of forty shillings". Retains and old black-painted surface with white-painted lettering. 20th century. 9 1/2" x 31".
