ENGLISH WHEAT MOTIF IRONSTONE ARTICLES, LOT OF FOUR, comprising a 9" D footed compote and a small pitcher with Ceres wheat and cable pattern, and a toothbrush holder with nine drainage holes to base having wheat and bow design, and a saucer. Printed marks to underside include Royal Arms marks with "ROYAL.PATENT. / IRONSTONE. / BURGESS & GODDARD" and "WARRANTED IRONSTONE CHINA" and saucer with lightly impressed Turner, Goddard & Company mark. Together with an ironstone soup ladle, probably contemporary. Five pieces total. Elsmore & Forster, Tunstall; Burgess & Goddard, Longton; Turner, Goddard & Co., Tunstall, England. Circa 1865. 6 5/8" HOA.
