ENGLISH CREAMWARE TRANSFER-PRINTED AMERICAN MARKET JUG / PITCHER, having black transfer designs, one side depicting a tall-masted ship flying an American flag with 13 stars and other side with image titled "POOR JACK" featuring a couple saying farewell with a ship in background. Unmarked. Possibly Herculaneum Pottery, Toxteth, Liverpool, England. Late 18th/early 19th century. 8 3/4" HOA.

Condition

Having a hairline adjacent to spout, a hairline crack to spout, two flakes to foot ring, and some old filled chips to rim, spout, and foot.
