ENGLISH JACOBEAN BIBLE / DOCUMENT BOX, oak, nailed construction, interior open with an open till, chip carved body with the initials "C G" to front. 18th century or earlier. 10 1/2" HOA, 18" WOA, 16" DOA.
Condition
Good condition with many repairs and alterations through the years including a new lock added in, supports to the underside of lid which repair the split in the lid, remnants of a brass element added to the front. Minor losses to various areas.
