ENGLISH ROYAL DOULTON BAYEUX TAPESTRY CERAMIC TEA AND TABLE ARTICLES, LOT OF 11, each having transfer images with polychrome enamel decorations featuring depicting scenes relating to the Norman conquest of England in 1066, comprising a circular tea tile and an 8" D bowl depicting the Landing at Pevensey, and nine examples having the "BATTLE OF HASTINGS" depicting archers, men with swords and shields, and horsemen including a covered sugar, a creamer, a 3 3/8" D bowl, two cups, and four saucers. Marks to underside include printed lion on a crown with "ROYAL DOULTON / ENGLAND" below and "D 2873". Royal Doulton, Lambeth, London, England. 1909-1930. 4" HOA.
Nine undamaged, except some having moderate crazing; tile having bruise to rim, otherwise undamaged; one cup with minor rim hairline and light discoloration.
