ENGLISH SILVER-PLATED INKSTANDS / DESK SETS, LOT OF TWO, comprising one larger unmarked example with reticulated sides and raised on four claw-and-ball feet featuring a pen tray and three attached holders for two colorless glass inkwells and a center candleholder, and a smaller portable example by Ellis-Barker Silver Co. of Birmingham having elongated oval form with reticulated floral border, an applied handle, a center candle holder, and two attached holders for blue glass inkwells, raised on four pad feet. Larger unmarked, small example with maker's mark and "MADE IN ENGLAND" to base. 19th/20th century. Larger 4" HOA, base 2 3/4" HOA, 10 5/8" x 7" OA.
Good to very good overall condition with wear, surface scratches, and other imperfections including worn spots/losses to silver notably to Ellis-Barker example; colorless glass inkwells with flakes and nicks along edges, one with a few holes to silver top; one blue glass inkwell with a couple of nicks to edge of base; other blue glass inkwell with base edge having a nick and a chip with corresponding bruise.
