ENGLISH SPATTERWARE THATCHED ROOF HOUSE CERAMIC ARTICLES, LOT OF TWO, each featuring a blue hand-painted two-story house with chimney and an adjacent fence and trees, comprising a coffee pot with domed cover and acorn finial and a 10 1/4" D plate with embossed fish scale and feather rim. Marks to underside include two underglaze blue hand-brushed parallel lines. Second quarter 19th century. 9 1/4" HOA.

Coffee pot having excellent visual condition with some professional restoration to foot and end of spout and cover having flake to flange; plate having two flakes to foot ring, some scattered usage wear including utensil marks to well and light short scattered scratches, and light discoloration. Manufacturing flaws including plate with chip/stone pop to rim, as made.
