ENGLISH SUNDERLAND PINK LUSTRE CERAMIC ARTICLES, LOT OF FOUR, each featuring black transfer designs, comprising a jug featuring "THE SAILOR'S TEAR." poem to one side, image of the "WEST VIEW...CAST IRON BRIDGE, over the River Wear" below spout, and cartouche to other side with saying "LET LOVE ABIDE / TILL DEATH DEVIDE [sic]" to interior, and three rectangular-form plaques featuring religious motifs including one with saying "PREPARE / TO MEET THY / GOD" and one featuring minister "ADAM CLARKE, L.L.D.F.S.A", impressed "Dixon Co" to back, and each having two holes to top for hanging. Dixon & Co., Sunderland, England; and others. Circa 1825. Jug 8 3/4" HOA, plaque 9 3/8" x 8 3/8". 

Condition

Plaques mostly undamaged except "Thou God, See'st Me." example having minor flake to rim underside; jug having an approximately 1" L chip to foot, some scattered glaze exfoliation to underside, and areas of light discoloration.
