FELIX OCTAVIUS CARR DARLEY (1822-1888) VIRGINIA GENRE SCENE, watercolor on paper, a complex composition depicting multiple figures of varying ages and postures at work harvesting corn, river and mountain landscape in background, likely a Shenandoah Valley view, signed lower right, titled "Gathering Corn in Virginia" on period frame plaque. Housed under glass in a period, possibly original, gilt frame with molded-composition ornament. Circa 1860. 16 1/2" x 24" sight, 30" x 37" OA.
