FIGURAL AMERICAN FLAG / SHIELD KEROSENE STAND LAMP,
frosted colorless,
figural mixed-metal girl holding dog stem, brass connector, metal base, No. 2 Taplin-Brown collar with shoulder plate. Fitted with a No. 2 lip burner and frosted and engraved ball shade.
Maker unverified.
Second half 19th century.
18" H to top of shade, 12 1/4" H to top of burner, 4 1/2" SQ base.
Provenance:Michael Carter collection, Hanover, PA.
Excellent condition with some imperfections at the connection of the font and brass connector. Shade having some light roughness to the fitter, as made.
