FINELY CUT PEACOCK FEATHER GLASS PAIR OF COVERED JARS, colorless, each having alternating swirling flutes with some being plain and others having diamond cuts, each having a matching cover, rayed to the underside. United States, possibly Bakewell, Page & Bakewell or Dorflinger. 1820-1850. 7 1/8" HOA.
Provenance: Deaccessioned by the Valentine Museum, Richmond, VA to benefit collections care, preservations, and future acquisitions.

Condition

One having a chip to the cover flange and having heavy interior residue; other having a sizeable loss to the base edge resulting in a large crack.
