FREE-BLOWN AND MARBRIE LOOP DECORATED TRUMPET VASE AND MATCHING WITCH BALL, opaque white with powder blue and pink loopings, deep slender bowl with a gauffered rim, stepped two-knop base, applied opaque white foot, topped with a matching witch ball with a rough pontil opening, rough pontil mark. United States, probably Pittsburgh area. Second half 19th century. 14 3/4" HOA, 10 1/4" H vase, 4 1/4" D foot.
Provenance: From the Peter H. Tillou estate, Litchfield, CT.
Witch ball undamaged; Vase having a crack running from the rim and into the body.
