FREE-BLOWN ENGLISH GLASS PITCHER AND WASHBOWL SET, pitcher of compressed globular form with tooled shoulder and flaring high collar with widely flaring spout, very thick applied handle, flat base without foot and with polished pontil mark. Bowl of wide-flaring form with thick drawn foot and outwardly-folded thick rim, polished pontil mark underneath. Probably English. Fourth quarter 19th century. 9 1/4" H pitcher, 14 1/4" D bowl rim.
Condition
Excellent condition with moderate wear especially to bowl interior; pitcher with factory polishing to lower terminal of the handle, and having a small flake to rim.
