FRENCH EMPIRE MAHOGANY AND ORMOLU SECRETAIRE ABATTANT, one-piece construction, featuring marble top, elaborate interior with mirrored background, full columns and various ormolu mounts throughout, including herald figure to center of fall board. Oak secondary wood. Retaining an old surface with rich color. Second quarter 19th century. 59" H, 38" W, 17" D.

Condition
Very good overall condition with minor to moderate areas of wear and discoloration. Scattered cracks and imperfections to veneers. Lacking one small section of ormolu banding to fall board. Columns slightly loose. Fall board lacking hinges.
