FRENCH NEOCLASSICAL MANTLE CLOCK, polished slate and marble, with Dore bronze mounts, porcelain chapter ring centering an outside escapement, marked for Gigay, Grenoble retailer, brass 8-day movement marked for Madaille D'Argent Vincenti 1855, Paris. Key and original pendulum present. Circa 1855. 19" H, 15" W, 6" D.
Condition
Excellent overall condition, restoration to small chip to front edge of base, small chip to side of base at rear. Will run for a short period of time, springs not wound tight. See catalogue guarantee.
