FRENCH OLD PARIS LARGE PORCELAIN PAIR OF VASES, each of baluster form with ornately molded foliate designs and gilt decoration featuring polychrome hand-painted images of young women, comprising one example depicting a light-haired woman holding a flower-decorated staff and raising a bird's nest with chicks in her right hand and other example featuring a black-haired woman wearing a crown of flowers. Unmarked. Mid 19th century. 22 7/8" HOA. 

Condition

Excellent, mostly undamaged condition except each having some wear to gilt decorations; woman holding nest having a chip to underside of base.
