FRENCH SAMSON HAND-PAINTED PORCELAIN FIGURAL SWEETMEAT PAIR, each sitting on a molded Rococo-style base with flowering bocage to back and rectangular basket on lap, comprising a woman with a sheep at her side and a gentleman wearing a turban with dog at his side. Woman having gilt anchor mark to lower back. Edme Samson, Paris, France. 1885-1920. 9 1/4" HOA.
Provenance: From a North Carolina private collection.
Each having some scattered losses primarily to bocage and applied flowers. Manufacturing flaws including man having firing separation to hand, as made.
