FRENCH VAL D'OSNE FOUNDRY CAST-BRONZE MONUMENTAL NEOCLASSICAL GARDEN URN WITH FIGURAL HANDLES, each handle depicting a mythological mermaid goddess with scales and fins, flared overlapping leaf band patterned rim, wide band cylinder-form body with various figures including cherubs and figures performing various tasks, over an ivy patterned circular foot on a square plinth, side of plinth signed "VAL D" OSNE FONDEUR / PARIS", retains original patina. Second half 19th century. 30" HOA, rim 29" WOA and 21 3/4" D inner, 14 1/8" SQ foot.

Very good overall condition with expected wear and some scattered minor imperfections, lacking insert.
