FRENCH VERMEIL 0.950 SILVER PLATE, all-over gold-washed finish, round well with scalloped rim, engraved floret and garland design to shoulder. Base with a Minerva head hallmark for 0.950 silver fineness, a "TABURET / A PARIS" mark for Emile Taburet, and a worn mark possibly for George Boin or for the partnership between Taburet and Boin. Total weight: 21.06 ozt. Fourth quarter 19th century. 10 1/4" DOA.
Provenance: Property of a Virginia gentleman.

Condition

Very good overall condition with some wear, surface scratches, and nicks, a few minute dents, minor losses to gold-washed finish notably to high points and to edge of base.
