GEORGIAN MAHOGANY DROP-FRONT DESK, with hinged fall board concealing an outstanding fitted amphitheater interior with elaborate inlays and many secret compartments including the pull-out steps below the prospect door, above two over three drawers with later brass pulls, raised on bracket feet, solid ends. Oak secondary wood. Retains an old surface with warm color. Late 18th century. 42" H, 41 1/2" W, 23" D.
