GERMAN DECORATED STONEWARE JAR, salt-glazed, approximately one-gallon capacity, wide-mouth slightly ovoid form with galleried rim, incised rings below rim and above foot, and open loop handles. Having incised coggle wheel decoration with cobalt infilling to each side and below handle, additional brushed cobalt decoration to handles including terminates and wavy lines below. Second half 19th century. 9 7/8" H, 6" D rim.
