GERMAN / JAPANESE BISQUE PORCELAIN DOLL FIGURES, LOT OF 19,
each having hand-painted decorations, including five with articulated heads including "UNCLE WALT", "RACHEL", "SKEEZIX", "ANDY / GUMP", "MUSHMOUTH", two "BIMBO" musical examples including one retaining original label, and seven-piece set of brightly dressed children housed in original box. Marks include impressed "BIMBO / FLEISCHER STUDIOS", "MADE IN JAPAN", and "Germany".
First half 20th century.
7 1/2" HOA.
Provenance: Property from a Youngstown, OH estate.
Most in very good condition except having scattered losses to enamel decorations; "Andy Gump" having a chip to underside of head; child with sailboat having detached but present head; one rosy cheeked child with glued repair to legs.
