GERMAN METTLACH CERAMIC STEINS, LOT OF TWO, mold numbers 1471 and 2028, each having etched sides with polychrome hand-painted decorations, ceramic inset lids, and metal thumbrests, 1/2 liter size, comprising one depicting a five-piece band, signed "Warth", and one featuring a tavern scene with men drinking. Marks to underside include impressed abbey with "METTLACH / VB", "GEGEN NACHBILDUNG / GESCHUTZT", and additional impressed numerals. Late 19th/early 20th century. 8 1/2" HOA.
