GERMAN PORCELAIN SEASONS MOTIF FIGURAL CENTERPIECE / COMPOTE, featuring a reticulated basket-form top with applied flowers and a base with three putti including spring holding a bird's nest, summer holding a sickle with wheat sheaf, and autumn with an apple and grape bunch. Mark to underside of base featuring two parallel double crossed lines with four spaced dots. Possibly C. G. Schierholz & Son, Plaue, Germany. Fourth quarter 19th/early 20th century. 16 7/8" HOA.

Basket and circular base with some older restoration; putto with bird's nest having professional restoration to left hand.
