GERMAN SIMON & HALBIG BISQUE-HEAD MUSICAL AUTOMATON DOLL, socket head with open mouth, bisque hands, composition body, standing on music box with rear keywind and stop, original clothes. Original wooden case. Circa 1890. 20" HOA.
Provenance: Deaccessioned by the Mt. Jackson Museum, Mt. Jackson, VA for refurbishment of grounds and collections.
Working mechanical condition, doll as is with large loss to back of head resulting in an approximate 1/2" faint hairline to side of forehead, one hand broken with most of pieces present, clothes shredded.
