GORHAM "CHANTILLY" STERLING SILVER 57-PIECE FLATWARE SET, pattern designed in 1895 by William C. Codman; solid sterling pieces comprising eight place forks, eight luncheon/dessert forks, nine salad forks, 11 teaspoons, a serving/tablespoon, a cocktail/seafood fork, a lemon fork, and a demitasse spoon; hollow-handled pieces with stainless blade consisting of 16 place knives with eight having a longer blade and shorter handle, and a butter spreader. Each with "STERLING" mark, all except butter spreader and four long-blade place knives with maker's marks. Total weight excluding 17 hollow-handled pieces: 49.645 ozt. Together with two hollow-handled knives comprising one having marked sterling handle by Towle Silversmiths and an unmarked example. 59 pieces total. Gorham Mfg.
