H. WILLIAM NOLDE HONORARY PLAQUE POSSIBLY FROM NOLDES BAKERY, RICHMOND, VIRGINIA, bronze plaque having raised lettering reading "IN BELOVED MEMORY OF / H. WILLIAM NOLDE / MAY 2, 1873 / JAN. 10, 1953 / PRESIDENT / 1936-1953". Circa 1953. 10 1/4" x 20" OA.
Catalogue Note: H. William Nolde was born in Germany and came to America in 1880 with his family. Nolde Brother's Bakery was opened in the end of the 19th century, and continued operation for more than half of the 20th century.
Condition
Good condition with only minor surface wear.
Deaccessioned by the Valentine Museum, Richmond, VA to benefit collections care, preservation, and future acquisitions.
