HELEN STRUVEN (MARYLAND, 1909-1986) FANTASY PAINTINGS, LOT OF TWO, oil on canvas, comprising one depicting unicorns, and one with lizards and people riding lizards with a psychedelic background, each signed. Housed in original frames. From the Bethelgate series. Circa 1970. Unicorn 15" x 19" sight, 21" x 25" OA. Lizards 27" x 21" sight, 28 1/2" x 22" OA.
Catalog Note: Helen started out as a landscape and seascape artist, but her true passion was The Bethelgate Series, her unique style of painting influenced and visits the likes of Rick Sternbach, Lynn Barnes, Sylvia Starshine, and Connor Freff Cochran (FREFF), and she exhibited at the 1975 Baltimore Science Fiction Society convention.
