HOBDAY, BIDDLE & CO., BIRMINGHAM BOX-LOCK PAIR OF FLINTLOCK POCKET PISTOLS, approximately .48 caliber, each with fixed round barrel having two proof marks to underside, marked "L-Y 2217" and "L-Y 2218" to top of barrels, locks engraved "HOBDAY, BIDDLE & Co." to one side, and militaria to the other, folding triggers, rosewood grips. late 18th/early 19th century. 6" LOA, 2 1/2" barrels.
Provenance: From the collection of Williston and Josephine Cofer, Alexandria, VA.
Very good condition, one will not cock, each with two or three tiny holes to one grip.
