IKUNOSUKE SHIRATAKI (JAPANESE, 1873-1961) TURKEY PAINTING, oil on canvas, depicting a tom turkey, signed lower right. Housed in a period gilt frame. Circa 1920. 15 1/2" x 20" sight, 18 1/2" x 23" OA.
Catalogue Note: Ikunosuke Shirataki studied at The Tokyo School of Fine Arts graduating in 1898. He traveled America and Europe from 1904-1910, bringing back and promoting the Western-style of painting to Japan.
