ITALIAN 18K GOLD PRESENTATION MEDALLION TO A MAJOR IN THE U.S. ARMY, engraved on one side with a monument above "To William A. Horton, Maj. Transportation Corps, U.S. Army, Leghorn, Italy", the other side engraved in Italian, which translates to "A Recognition of the High Merits with Esteem and Friendship the Grateful Workers of the 'La Portuale' Coop Offer" above "15-10-53". Stamped "750". Original presentation case. Total weight: 24.3 grams. Dated 1953. 1 3/4" D.
