JEREMIAH KEISTER & CO., STRASBURG, SHENANDOAH VALLEY OF VIRGINIA DECORATED STONEWARE JAR, salt-glazed, "2" gallon capacity mark, ovoid form with single incised shoulder ring, collared square rim, and applied lightly grooved arched handles. Brushed cobalt horizontal floral decoration to each side, one with three blooms and the other with two. The pottery of Jeremiah Keister (1829-1901). Circa 1860. 11 5/8" H, 7" D rim.

Excellent condition, free of cracks, rim with some light chipping/roughness.
