JOHANN MARESCH (AUSTRIAN, 1821-1914), CERAMIC FIGURAL HUMIDORS, LOT OF FOUR, comprising a large example depicting a young man leaning against a sack and smoking a pipe and three examples depicting figures emerging from a sack including the Munich Child, a dog, and a mustached man wearing a hat. Each stamped "JM" including largest example marked to front with "No 144." below and one having "Czechoslovakia" to underside. Johann Maresch, Austria or Czechoslovakia. Late 19th/early 20th century. 10 1/2" HOA.
Munich Child mostly undamaged, having a flake to interior flange on top; dog having professional restoration to interior flange and possible paint touch-up to back of head; mustached man having head broken and reattached and a flake and a chip to sack rim; large example having pipe reattached, paint touch-ups to hat and jacket, and some minute/minor flakes to sack rim.
