LABEL UNDER GLASS APOTHECARY BOTTLES / JARS, LOT OF SIX, each cylindrical form with tooled mouth, colorless with matching ground glass stopper, five having painted and gilt labels to front indicating contents including "WITCH HAZEL", "SP. ANISI", and "ARROWROOT.", some with W.T. Co. base embossing or patent dates, remaining smooth-based, except "P. JALAPAE" having rough pontil mark. Together with a spare/loose label-housing with remnants of label having once read "LUPULINA". Seven pieces total. Various makers. Fourth quarter 19th century. 10 1/4" HOA.
Catalogue Note: Three are labeled indicating they once resided in the A.B. Burns Pharmacy in Montrose, PA.

Condition

Generally very good to excellent condition, several undamaged and others having some moderate discoloration/minor losses around the edges of the painted labels.
